Concerns about a cooling of the Contra Costa real estate market are statistically unfounded as inventory remains tight and prices continue to increase. Scarcity of listings and seller concern about underpricing cause certain properties to experience overbids while other properties languish on the market. Overall, prices have continued to increase, albeit at a slower rate than the spring. As we move into the last quarter, many buyers are still looking to find that yet unfulfilled promise of finding their next home or investment property.
