Melanie Kozak has been in the real estate and relocation industries since 1979 and holds her California Real Estate Broker’s License. In addition to working with many buyers and sellers moving locally, she also has extensive experience in facilitating the buying and selling process for relocating executives and their families moving both domestically and internationally.
Having years of real estate sales experience and extensive knowledge of our local real estate market gives Melanie insight in guiding buyers transferring into or out of the East Bay Area. She is committed to giving the highest quality service to her clients and places great value on past clients being her best advocates. Being sensitive to and addressing their specific needs, close communication with her clients as well as her attention to detail and continual follow up throughout the selling and buying process have been the key to her client satisfaction.
Melanie’s relocation career includes working as a consultant in destination services, inpatriation services, group moves, managing corporate inventory and corporate accounts and relocation team training. She also earned her Corporate Relocation Professional (CRP) designation from the nationally recognized Employee Relocation Council. Her real estate sales career includes working with buyers and sellers over a wide geographic area and with all types of properties and situations.
What Melanie loves best about real estate is helping people achieve their dream in buying a home. The happiest moment in real estate for her is when she hands them the keys to their new home knowing that she helped make this possible for them. She genuinely cares about her clients and does all that she can to make sure that their real estate experience is a pleasant one and a smooth one. Because of this, many of her clients become her friends for years to come. There is so much technology and so many tools today to help real estate agents do their jobs. However, Melanie feels that even with all this at her fingertips, it does not replace the value of being hands on with her clients in providing the human touch.
She has lived, worked and studied in Paris and other parts of France and is fluent in French. This, along with her educational background from East Carolina University in psychology and international studies, has been extremely beneficial in working with international buyers and sellers. She resides in Walnut Creek with her husband where they have raised their two children.
When Melanie is not selling real estate, she loves to cook and to entertain friends and clients. She learned her love for cooking and for fine wine while living in France where she had ample opportunity to try out her culinary side. Her other love is travel. She has enjoyed traveling extensively through France as well as to several other countries with her family. However, the favorite family weekend getaway no matter what time of year is beautiful Lake Tahoe.
